Created in 1850, Yuba County is one of California’s original 27 counties. Its border is just 30 minutes north of the State Capitol in Sacramento and its population is just above 70,000, mostly urban. The county seat is Marysville. Yuba’s diverse landscape includes grand rivers, luscious farmlands, friendly communities and a wide variety of recreational activities - both ocean beaches and mountain skiing are only a couple of hours away. The county is home to Yuba Community College and a few school districts. Along with its excellent schools, relaxed living and affordable housing, its communities have that small town feel so many people are looking for in a place, making Yuba County a very desirable area to live in and study.
